Hi, my name is Evelyn and I am proud to say, I am a foodie.

LovefoodI enjoy food, all types of food. Seafood, spicy, Indian, all types of cheeses, sweets, veggies and so on. Food has always been a big part of my life. I’m sure it has a lot to do with my culture and I have a beautiful Puerto Rican momma that throws down in the kitchen. Oh how I miss her cooking. Arroz con gandules, pollo guisao y tostones, ahh, give me a minute as I wipe my drool.

Anyways, going out to eat continues to be an experience and Philadelphia is a great place for foodies like me to live in. This great city has so many cute, well-themed, healthy, and ethnically diverse restaurants. I am excited to know that one day in heaven, I will sit with Jesus at the buffet table, eat all I want and never gain a pound. Am I the only one that thinks like this?

A few years back, I made a major shift in my eating habits. I’ll post about my healthier eating choices (and great yummy substitutes) in later posts. However, if you’re not a foodie, I’m sorry if this post bores you, but there will be more to come. I will be going away for a few days this week and while out, you best believe I will enjoy some wonderful food. I will post about my best experiences in the next week.

If you have a favorite restaurant you think I would enjoy, (even if in another city, I will take my foodie friends with me for a road trip to eat) please comment below.
